Advisory Board
The Advisory Board represented CWG's diversity, which featured cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, hospital administrators, cardiac program administrators, quality and performance improvement staff, unit managers, nurse managers, nurses, and information technology staff.
The Advisory Board sets the direction of the CWG's clinical initiatives and ensured that the regional members, in fact, directed the CWG agenda. The Advisory Board had eleven voting members and two non-voting members. Two voting members (one from a teaching hospital and one from a community hospital) represented each category below:
- Hospital administrators
- Cardiac program administrators
- Cardiothoracic surgeons
- Cardiologists
- Hospital staff (not including above positions)
The eleventh voting member was a Community (non-hospital) member. The Chair of the CWG and the PRHI Director of the Cardiac Initiative were non-voting members of the Advisory Committee.
